  From Promising Start to Failed Actress
  Great is the art of beginning, but greater is the art of ending. Here are some notable Tamil actresses from 2004 till 2012 who had a good start but have failed to move on as expected. Fact is, expectations that despite how good an actress may be in acting, may never be met because they simply can’t be! Here is no personal opinion about the actresses, yet it is just a look on how these actresses are unreasonably expected!

  Udhayathara
  Udhayathara, made her Tamil debut film ‘Thee Nagar’ (2007) pairing along with Karan. The actress was noted for her homely bird look and she paired with Karan for next consecutive film ‘Malayan’. Though the films were commercially success, Udhayathara could not have a strong base in Tamil films.She shifted to glamorous roles in films like Vilai, Bayam Ariyan which too failed miserably in box office. All went for toss for Udhayathara and finally she bit the dust!

  Renuka Menon
  To say, this gorgeous actress had good opening in Tamil cinema with two films releasing in the same year 2005. She paired with Bharath in the film ‘February14′ and Jayam Ravi in the film ‘Daas’. Both films were flop and she was washed away in the high tides.Later she choose to act in Kalabha Kadhalan alongside Arya which was a moderate success but she returned back to square one. Even with gorgeous looks and with promising acting, Renuka Menon came short in Tamil films.

  Dhanshika
  Dhansika, was introduced in Tamil film ‘Peranmai’ (2009) where she played a challenging role. Dhansika was noted for performance in her first film and she was seen into glamour zone in her next film ‘Maanja Velu’.she continued to act in small budget films and later everyone raised eyebrows for her film ‘Aravaan’ directed by Vasantha Balan. The film ‘Aravan’ did not do well in box office and dazzling Dhansika is indeed waiting for a magic! Her hope is on Bala’s Paradesi and it is the only fuel for the actress now!!

  Kathal Sandhya
  Sandhya is always referred as ‘Kadhal’ Sandhya since her debut film ‘Kadhal’ was a major success. Needless to say, Sandhya justified her character by her intense acting. She hasn’t even completed her schooling during the film ‘Kadhal’ and after the stupendous success of her first film, she took acting as her career. Sandhya won Filmfare award for best actress 2004 for the film Kadhal.After Kadhal, Sandhya gave some modest successTamil films like ‘Dishyum’. Later her films like Manjal Veyil, Koodal Nagar, Odipolaama were considered flops and she turned her attention to other language films. The romantic girl who was expected to be at greater heights in Tamil cinema industry, is right now doesn’t even have single Tamil film!

  Sunaina
  Sunaina, with girl next door look, was seen quiet promising in the films like Kadhali Vizhunthen,Vamsam. She was first introduced in 2007 to Tamil cinema through a small role in Sivaji The Boss. But her role in the film was uncredited and the scenes were even deleted. Her major break through in Tamil cinema, came after the debut film ‘Kadhalil Vizhunthen’.Sunaina is a good dancer and she was able to display emotions that captured audience attention on her. In spite all, She remains as a lady unnoticed. Suniana considers to reestablish herself in the forthcoming film ‘Neerparavai’. Will she be rewarded?
